Disney Bucket List

I've been to Walt Disney World around 5 times, so I've done a lot of things the parks have to offer. However, there's still a LOT I haven't done, so I present to you -

Amanda's DCP Bucket List

  1. Do the four parks, one day challenge - ride at least 2 rides and meet at least 2 characters in each of the parks and take a picture in front of each of the park's icons.
  2. Go to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon
  3. Ride all the rides in all the parks at least once! (Even Figment. And Captain EO.)
  4. Finish the Kitchen Sink! (with help, of course)
  5. Get a Fastpass from every ride that gives one out. (not sure how Fastpass+ will affect this, but I'm going to try anyway~)
  6. See every show and parade at least once.
  7. Pick up shifts in all the parks, as well as PAC shifts.
  8. Buy my very first pair of Mickey ears! (and maybe a few more than that ;))
  9. Attend the free housing events when I can.
  10. Do DisneyQuest~
  11. Attend rope drop/park opening at every park.
  12. Ride all the mountains back to back.
  13. Make magical moments and get GSF cards.
  14. Find as many hidden Mickeys as I can and take pictures of them.
  15. Attend MNSSHP and MVMCP and work a candy shift for MNSSHP.
  16. Get a perfect score on Buzz and attempt to do the same on Toy Story Midway Mania (ha).
  17. Eat around the World.
  18. Get all the classic Disney park treats.
  19. See Wishes, Illuminations, and Fantasmic all in one night.
  20. VoluntEAR
  21. Go character hunting and devote days to just finding characters.
  22. Meet/see Mickey and Minnie in at least 15 of their costumes.
  23. Watch Wishes from the beach at the Poly while eating a Dole Whip (maybe on check-in day with my roomies if we're not too tired?? :D)
  24. Get as many characters possible to sign a Disney canvas tote bag.
  25. Vlog and blog about my experience.
  26. Keep a jar ready to record small moments that happen during my program on post-it notes.
  27. Ride Tower of Terror 31 or 113 times.
  28. Ride Tower of Terror 13 times in a row (I really like this ride ok)
  29. Do a picture challenge.
  30. Have a photoshoot in the parks.
  31. Visit alllll the resorts.
  32. See sunrise/sunset on the beach.
  33. Dress up for Dapper Day
  34. Go to the Food and Wine Festival.
  35.  See the Osbourne Family Lights and the Candlelight Processional.
  36. Go on as many backstage tours as possible.
  37. Be the last ones in a park.
  38. Have a day to go to a park without riding any rides, just noticing the details and taking pictures.
  39. Pick a ride and see how many times I can ride it in a day.
  40. Photobomb people
  41. Make a wish in the wishing well.
  42. Watch Wishes from every land in the park.
  43. Watch Wishes from Dumbo, the TTA, Splash, or Big Thunder.
  44. Make friends with people from out of the country.
  45. Meet a person from each state.
  46. See both Fantasmic showings in the same night (and then never again smh)
  47. See a movie at the dine-in theater in DTD
  48. Get pixie-dusted wooo
  49. Disneybound!
  50. Visit Tiana and Naveen so often that they remember me. :P
*some things were inspired by this bucket list by the ever-wonderful kaela*
All right, so I've still got quite a bit of time before I leave for Disney, but I've been reading blogs and checking out Tumblr and I'm just so excited! To work AND to play!

I've found some super cool things you can do in the parks so I'll put them here so I don't forget them:

- Picking up PAC shifts - well, of course this is only for cast members, but it sounds really cool and fun.

- Becoming a Wilderness Explorer in the Animal Kingdom! You can get up to 31 badges - isn't that cuuuute? Definitely doing this with one of my roomies.

- Free Culinary Tour at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a 30 minute tour and you get to taste some of the food from the AKL's restaurants - for free! How cool is that? There's also the Sanaa Cultural Tour in the Animal Kingdom Villas, and it's essentially the same thing.

-

That's all for now, but if I find any more I'll update this post. :)

About Me

Hello! ~

My name is Amanda and I’m from Long Island, New York, although currently I am a freshman at the University of Maryland - College Park. I’m 19 years old with a passion for doing crazy things. Walt Disney World is my home away from home, and I can’t wait until I get to live there for 5 months while participating in the Disney College Program! My hobbies include baking, photography (I CAN’T WAIT TO TAKE 674536 PICTURES OF CINDERELLA’S CASTLE), hanging out with friends, watching TV, and reading. I’m pretty sarcastic and witty if I know you well, but pretty sweet if I don’t. :P

~Favorites~
TV shows: Chuck, Grey’s Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Once Upon a Time, Survivor, Misfits, and Glee.
Movies: Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, all Disney movies, Easy A, all of the X-Men movies, The Incredible Hulk.
Music: Jack’s Mannequin, Death Cab for Cutie, Admiral Fallow, Of Monsters and Men, Mumford and Sons, Yellowcard, Disney/Broadway soundtracks.
Books: Harry Potter, The Princess Diaries, The Hunger Games, The Sword of Truth series, Looking for Alaska, Animal Farm, The Great Gatsby.
Disney movies: The Princess and the Frog, Toy Story, The Incredibles, Tangled, and Beauty and the Beast (I’m cutting off the list here because I could honestly list all 60+ Disney and Pixar films but that would be a waste of time and space).
Disney park: If I had to choose, I’d have to pick the Magic Kingdom! But I really do love all 4 parks equally. :3
Disney rides: Space Mountain, Soarin’, Toy Story Mania, and the Laugh Floor.

I believe that’s all; if you have any questions, feel free to let me know!
